Where do I go for my game at Gallatin Ice?

Locker room assignments will be posted day of by main entrance and concessions.
Langlas Community Ice Rink is the first rink you see when walking in the main entrance. It will be closest to the parking lot. This rink has locker rooms A-D
Past Langlas rink and through the doors by concessions will be Bottcher Center. This rink will have Locker rooms 1-4.
Ask Ticket booth attendee if more help is needed.
I lost something, where can I find it?
Lost and found is located in concessions, between the rinks. Most lost items will be in the bench labeled "lost and found". Valuable or small items will be held behind the concessions counter, ticket booth counter or with facility management.
What skill levels are available?
BAHA has programs for skaters of all levels. Learn to Play hockey is a great program for youth beginners. Greenhorns is a great place for new adult hockey players.

When is hockey season in Bozeman?
Hockey programs for youth and Adult players are available throughout the year. Full Season leagues generally run from October to April. Supplemental and half seasons may be earlier or later in the year. Check your program for detailed dates.
Registration opens August, 3rd 2026 for most programs.
How much does it cost to play hockey with BAHA?
BAHA strives to keep its prices reasonable and affordable in order to make hockey accessible to everyone in the community. Registration costs vary widely depending on the program and level of play desired. Please review our Youth or Adult Programs for details. See more information here:

Where can I buy new or used hockey gear in Bozeman?
Here are a few places in the area that sell or buy used or new hockey equipment: Play It Again Sports (1428 N. 15th Ave.) buys and sells new and used hockey gear and sharpens skates. Second Wind Sports (15 W. Olive Street) sells and consigns used hockey gear. Top Shelf Hockey (25B Shawnee Way) sells hockey gear and sharpens skates.
What is USA Hockey and why do I need to be a member to join BAHA?
USA Hockey is the governing body of hockey in the United States. BAHA's youth teams and adult leagues are sanctioned by USA Hockey, so for insurance purposes, all participants in these programs must be registered members. Only USA Hockey sanctioned events are covered (youth practices and games and Adult HHL games). All other events are not covered by USA Hockey insurance (Puck Lunch, Stick & Puck, 3-on-3 tournaments, Public Skating, etc.).
What does it mean to be a BAHA Member?
BAHA is the Bozeman Ammature Hockey Association, anyone who is registered on a youth or adult team is a part of BAHA.
Where can I park?
Parking is located on the east side of the building. If the main parking lot is full, overflow parking is available in the dirt lot next to and behind the main parking area. Please do not park in the designated drop-off zone, as it must remain clear for loading, unloading, and emergency vehicle access.

How can I sign up my child to play hockey?
Youth and adult hockey registration is available on our website for the duration of each season's registration period. Registration for the regular season typically runs from late August until early October. See more information here: Youth Hockey
How old does my child need to be in order to play hockey?
Youth programs include termite (4-6) through high school levels. For more information, please visit our Youth Hockey page. See more information here: Youth Hockey
Does my child need prior experience to play hockey with BAHA?
Not at all! Our programs accommodate children with all levels of experience. Players must be able to move forward independently on the ice before participating. We recommend that children brand-new to hockey enroll in the Learn to Skate program.
What gear does my child need to play hockey?
Youth players must wear all necessary protective gear, including a helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, shin guards, gloves, neck guard, and a protective cup.
Does my child have to travel in order to play hockey with BAHA?
No. BAHA offers a Youth non-travel league (Mountain League) for players not interested in or not able to travel for games. This league is for players ages 9-18. Our Termites (6U) and Mites (8U) Programs are also non-travel. Both programs have optional opportunities to attend jamborees across the state.
Does BAHA offer any pickup hockey for youths?
There is no pickup hockey for youth but we do have youth Stick and Puck sessions. Times can be found on the rink schedule.
Can I rent hockey equipment for my child?
BAHA has an equipment rental program targeted for 4-12 year olds in our in house programs (Termites, Mites, Mountain League). The equipment includes helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, breezers (pants), shin guards, and gloves. The program is first-come, first-serve and is $125 for the season. Where can I find the practice schedule for the season?
The master schedule will be posted on the Gallatin Ice website here. You will also receive your specific team schedules from your team manager or the Youth Hockey Programs Manager after registering for your specific program. Practice schedules may also be posted in your LeagueApps account.
Is there a girls-only hockey program?
Yes, BAHA has two girls' hockey teams. There is a 14U and 19U team designed for girls aging out of the youth Squirt level that wants to continue playing competitive hockey. These teams compete in the Northern Rocky Mountain Girls Hockey League and travel to tournaments throughout Montana and Idaho. See more information here: Youth Hockey

Do I need to be experienced in order to play hockey with BAHA?
Not at all, but we do recommend some skating experience before joining a hockey program. Men and women over the age of 18 have many opportunities to learn and play hockey, beginners have the opportunity to learn all of the hockey basics through our Greenhorn program. After Greenhorns we have divisions ranging from beginner to advanced. If you are completely new to skating, we recommend looking into the Learn to Skate program.
How do I get on an adult team if I am new to the program?
When you fill out the registration form, pick the level that best matches your ability and select "unassigned" to indicate that you are new to the league. You will be placed on a team that needs players of your skill level.
What equipment do I need to play hockey?
We encourage players to wear all necessary protective gear on the ice. That includes a helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, shin guards, gloves, breezers (pants), and cups. Full-face masks are also wise. However, our only requirement is that players wear a helmet and half-shield at all times while playing hockey.
What is the Hocktober Scramble?
Hocktober Scramble is our early season program, beginning in September and ending in October. Players are grouped into teams combining two levels of play, so there is a wider range of skill levels within these teams than in regular-season teams.
Is there a women-only adult hockey program or team?
There is a Women's Weasel League that has 10 games (not including playoffs) spread out from October-March. A large group of Bozeman women (who form the weasels travel teams) travel to two or three tournaments a year and hosts a local women's tournament called the "Get Lucky Cup." Does BAHA offer any pickup hockey?
Yes. Puck Lunch is an adult (18+) pickup hockey game that takes place every most weekdays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. See the Puck Lunch page for details, costs, and times. See the Rink Schedule for specific days/times.
How often are adult games?
Adult game schedules vary. Games are 1-2 times per week and can be in the evening or early morning. Check the Rink Schedule to see your games.
How do I become a goalie?
Gallatin Ice offers a FREE learn to play goalie session each year. Goalies have reduced rates for adult leagues. For more information on becoming a goalie Phil Boys: phil.boys@hotmail.com
